How to create a Zoom Chat

To create an online chat in Zuma during a web conference, follow a few steps. The algorithm is as follows:
- Join the conference if you have not already done so.
- Click on the three dots at the bottom right (More).
- Select Chat.
- Specify who the message will be sent to.
- Add the file if needed.
- Click on the three dots and indicate who can chat online. Several options are possible here – Nobody, only the organizer, All: open or All: open and confidential.
- Enter your message and press Enter.
In the PC version, everything is the same: click “Chat”

How to save Zoom chat
There are situations when in the process of communication between several users important information is mentioned. In such circumstances, the question arises how to save the chat in Zoom. Everything is simple here, but the truth is it only works on a computer:
- after completing the communication, click on the three dots at the bottom right;
- click on the Save chat button.
After completing this step, Show in folder appears next to it. Click on it to go to the saved document. The information is saved in a text file.
If you wish, you can create a new folder for recordings and store them in a different location. As for the default location, the data is saved under Documents – Zoom – Folder name. The file name contains the date of the online chat, the time of saving, the name, and the number of the meeting.
